چکیده
In order to exchange the wood biomass energy for electric power with small capacity and high efficiency, it is most effective use a reciprocating engine operated gasifier. On other hand, such small-capacity system often installed in urban areas. Therefore, strict emission regulation should be observed. Normally, as low heating value (LHV) of bio-syngas small, stoichiometric mixture achieve maximum density. However, contains much unburned CO. This means that operation shows efficiency can’t observe regulations. this report, mechanism CO considered, method reduce ratio shown experimental results. experiment, commercial (4-stroke, modified single cylinder) used. The bio-syngas, producer gas from fixed bed gasifier, produced by self-made pellet gasifier (fixed bed, auto thermal down-draft). flow rate calculated nitrogen between input air bio-syngas. LHV adjusted city (as an alternative methane) hydrogen. volume exhaust more than 3 v% when excess bio-syngas/air 1.3, less 5.0 MJ/m3-LHV. under mixture, methane 7.0 MJ/m3-LHV was 0.2 v%. fuel combustion not finished chamber. could predicted consideration gap/clearance crevice, temperature boundary layer, quenching distance.

Emission Reduction Strategies for Small Single Cylinder Diesel Engine Using Valve Timing and Swirl Ratio
Small diesel engines are widely used for commercial vehicle and passenger car applications due to their higher torque requirements, fuel economy, and better thermal efficiency. These engines are exposed to different operating and environmental conditions and hence emissions from these engines are erratic. Strategies are required to enhance performance and reduce engine-out emissions considering...
متن کاملLHV Predication Models and LHV Effect on the Performance of CI Engine Running with Biodiesel Blends
The heating value of fuel is one of its most important physical properties, and is used for the design and numerical simulation of combustion processes within internal combustion (IC) engines. Recently, there has been a significant increase in the use of dual fuel and blended fuels in compression ignition (CI) engines. Most of the blended fuels include biodiesel as one of the constituents and h...
متن کاملMixture Preparation in a Small Engine Carburator
The objective of this work is related to the problem of mixture preparation in a carburator of a small 1 cylinder 2 stroke engine. A enhanced KIVA3v code has been modified in order to get a geometrically simplified but relatively fast and reliable numerical diagnostics tool. Emphasis was placed on idle speed investigation with an unsteady outflow boundary condition. Mixture formation for closed...
متن کاملThe Effect of Air Fuel Ratio and Temperature on Syngas Composition and Calorific Value Produced from Downdraft Gasifier of Rubber Wood-Coal Mixture
Rubber wood (Ficus elastica) is one the biomass waste that can be used as raw material for a gasification process and has a calorific value of 4,069 cal/gram. Gasification is a process to convert a solid fuel to syngas (CO, CH4, and H2) through a combustion process using limited air between 20% to 40% of air stoichiometry. Depending on the direction of airflow, the gasifiers are classified as u...
